AERIUS®- Avoid Morning Allergies - 24 Hour Relief

Manage your allergies

There is no need to suffer the irritation of living with allergies. Awareness and good management will help keep them under control.

In most instances, it is the lack of initial diagnosis that prevents correct treatment. Not surprisingly, many allergy suffers don't even realise that they are experiencing allergy symptoms as many of these replicate the common cold: runny nose, red and itchy eyes, headaches, coughing and sneezing. How do I know if I have a cold or an allergy?

Suffering allergies is unnecessary, frustrating and can be debilitating. Most allergic symptoms can be easily treated with long-lasting, over-the-counter antihistamine treatments, like AERIUS®.

More severe cases can be managed with stronger treatments, which you will need prescribed by a doctor. Once you know that you are dealing with an allergy, there are four basic steps to keeping your symptoms under control.

Step 1

Identify your allergies

First, try to identify what is causing your allergy. Our simple Identify your Allergy Guide can help you to monitor general patterns and symptoms that will be worthwhile sharing with your doctor. Your doctor may also help you with a simple skin prick test to identify your response to more common allergens.

Step 2

Allergen Avoidance

One way to prevent allergy symptoms is to avoid the allergen that triggers the allergy; however this is not always possible. In this site we have identified common allergens and offer tips on ways you can avoid or manage your contact with them.

Step 3

Treatment

There are a number of antihistamine preparations available that provide fast, effective 24-hour relief, without making you drowsy. One such treatment is AERIUS, a non-drowsy antihistamine developed to target the symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis (hayfever), perennial allergic rhinitis and hives. Other treatment options may include Intranasal Corticosteroids. Talk to you doctor to find out what is the right solution for you.

Step 4

Allergy Shots

If over-the-counter antihistamine preparations are proving ineffective, you should see your doctor for alternative treatments. These can include other medications (e.g. injections, intra-nasal corticosteroids) that may be prescribed by your doctor.
