But most importantly it helps you get through the day, so you can focus on what is important to you without feeling drowsy.

About AERIUS^®

AERIUS^® is a non-drowsy antihistamine that provides 24hr symptom relief of hayfever (seasonal rhinitis), year-round allergies (perennial allergic rhinitis), and hives. It is suitable for adults and for children and comes in small easy-to-swallow tablets and pleasant tasting syrup.

Just one dose per day keeps these allergy symptoms under control:

Itchy, watery eyes
Sneezing
Running, itchy nose
Itchy palate & skin
Hives & skin allergies

Tablets

This small, round tablet is easy to swallow, provides 24 hr relief of allergy symptoms and does not make you drowsy.

It is available without prescription. It may be taken with or without food without any affect on its efficacy.

Ingredients

The active ingredient in AERIUS^® is called desloratadine.

Each 5 mg tablet is film coated for easy swallowing.

AERIUS^® Tablets are gluten free. Lactose is present in the film coating of tablets.

Dosage

Adults and children 12 years and over – one tablet once daily.

Not recommended for children under 12 years.

AERIUS^® Syrup

AERIUS^® is also available as a syrup. It comes in a yummy bubblegum flavour – which makes it easy to administer to children – and a dosing syringe to measure the right dosage for babies as young as 6 months.

Dosage

For Allergic Rhinitis

1 to 5 years	2.5 mL daily
6 to 11 years	5 mL daily
12 years and over	10 mL daily

Do not give to children under 12 months of age for allergic rhinitis. Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice.

For Hives

6 to 11 months	2.0 mL daily
1 to 5 years	2.5 mL daily
6 to 11 years	5 mL daily
12 years and over	10 mL daily

Not to be used in children under 6 months of age.
